Metamar's Atelier produces the full range of architectural stone moulding profiles for interior and exterior applications. Stone profiles give a building its visual weight and tactile quality in a way no other material can replicate — the substantial cornice that anchors a coffered ceiling, the delicate ogee that trims a door surround, the honed limestone baseboard that grounds a marble floor. Each profile is CNC-routed from your specification, then hand-finished to the required surface quality.
Consistency across a project is critical. Metamar's CNC routing ensures that every linear metre of a given profile is identical — the same depth, the same cross-section, the same radius. For complex curved applications — circular rooms, apsidal ends, elliptical staircases — we produce the required curved profile runs using CNC and steam-bending, or fabricated from fitted segments with concealed joints.
What We Offer
The full classical cornice sequence — bed moulding, fascia, ovolo, cavetto, fillet, and corona. From a 60 mm simplex cornice to a 400 mm deep full entablature. Available in all classic profiles or fully custom sections.
Stone architraves frame every opening with architectural authority. Flat-face, ovolo-moulded, and ogee-moulded sections in standard widths of 80–200 mm, or custom widths to your drawings. Corner blocks and keystones available.
Stone skirting at heights from 100 mm to 400 mm — flat face, bull-nosed top, stepped profiles, or fully moulded. The heaviest and most permanent approach to room definition. Particularly relevant for marble and stone floor schemes.
Mid-height horizontal profiles that divide a wall — plain, ovolo, or ogee profiles. Typically 50–100 mm width. Coordinates with stone panelling, wainscot, or wall cladding layouts.
Bull-nose, pencil round, bevelled, ogee, dupont, and waterfall edge profiles for stone worktops, stair treads, window sills, and thresholds. Produced to the required overhang, profile radius, and finish.
Any cross-section profile you can specify in a drawing can be produced. For major projects, we produce a sample length of 300 mm for client approval before full production begins. All profiles can be repeated exactly by CNC for the life of the project.

How We Work
Client provides profile section drawings or references a standard profile designation. For custom profiles, we produce a dimensioned shop drawing for sign-off before programming the CNC router.
Profiles are cut across the stone's natural bed for maximum strength and consistency. Blocks are selected and matched for grain and colour uniformity before production begins.
Profiles are routed in long lengths and then cut to project dimensions. Hand-finishing removes tool marks from curved returns. Quality inspection against section drawing before packing.
Lengths are delivered labelled by room or zone. For large projects, a delivery schedule coordinated with the fit-out programme ensures the right profiles arrive at the right time.
