Metamar's Objects collection produces natural stone fountains for the full range of architectural contexts: the interior courtyard of a Saudi palace, the arrival forecourt of a five-star hotel, the garden terrace of a luxury villa, the prayer hall antechamber of a grand mosque. Each fountain is fabricated from project drawings — basin, jets, overflow channels, and plumbing integration all resolved before a single stone is cut.
The cultural and symbolic weight of the fountain in Gulf and Saudi architecture is profound. The salsabil — a gently sloping carved stone water feature that allows water to ripple across an engraved stone face — is a specifically Islamic form with deep resonance in Saudi interior design. The courtyard fountain and the basin set into a mosque's ablution court are architectural traditions that Metamar's Atelier approaches with both technical precision and cultural literacy, producing stone water features that perform reliably and age gracefully.
What We Offer
Multi-tiered circular or octagonal fountains with stacked basins, central column, and overflow from tier to tier. Fabricated as fully pre-assembled kits — all pieces numbered and dry-fit in the factory before delivery. Suitable for garden courtyards, entrance plazas, and landscaped terraces.
The traditional Islamic wall-mounted water feature — a carved stone panel with a gently ridged or engraved face over which water flows in a thin, even sheet into a stone basin below. Ideal for interior courtyard walls, majlis reception rooms, and mosque antechambers.
A single carved stone basin with integrated jet fittings — the simplest and most architecturally versatile fountain form. Can be floor-standing or recessed into paving. Available in circular, octagonal, square, and custom plan forms from 600 mm to 4,000 mm diameter.
Low-profile stone-lined pools for formal garden courtyards — the linear reflecting pool, the square central pool, the octagonal geometric form. Stone coping, interior lining, and jet-mounting channels all fabricated and supplied. Particularly suited to Saudi palace and villa courtyard design.
Statement water features designed for indoor installation — entrance halls, hotel lobbies, atrium spaces. Stone structure with concealed pump housing, back-of-house plumbing integration, and internal lighting provision. A single architectural object that defines the arrival experience.
Fully custom stone fountain commissions — figurative, abstract, or architectural in character. Developed in collaboration with your architect or artist. Metamar's Atelier can fabricate any form that can be drawn, including complex three-dimensional carved elements, waterfall faces, and multi-basin compositions.

Islamic Tradition
The salsabil is one of the most distinctly Islamic contributions to architectural stone craft — a gently inclined stone surface, typically engraved with a geometric or arabesque pattern, over which water flows in an unbroken sheet before falling into a basin below. The sound and movement of water across carved stone is simultaneously calming and celebratory.
Metamar's Atelier produces salsabil panels with engraved surfaces in the full range of Islamic geometric vocabulary — eight-point stars, arabesque scrollwork, calligraphic inscriptions, muqarnas-derived patterns — combined with precision plumbing integration for consistent water flow and easy maintenance.
Engineering & Water Systems
A stone fountain is a permanent architectural installation that must perform reliably year after year. Metamar's Objects team coordinates the full plumbing, pump, and filtration specification with your MEP engineer, ensuring that the stone fabrication and the water system are designed together rather than adapted to each other after the fact.
All fountain basins are fabricated with concealed overflow channels, drain sumps, and pump chambers dimensioned to the hydraulic engineer's specification. Jet mounting positions, pipe sleeve locations, and maintenance access points are all integrated into the stone fabrication — invisible in use, accessible when required.

How We Work
We review your site drawings, fountain concept, and MEP engineer's hydraulic specification. Basin geometry, plumbing integration points, and overflow provision are confirmed in a coordinated shop drawing before fabrication.
Stone is selected for durability and colour consistency across the full fountain assembly. For complex carved or engraved elements, a sample panel is produced for client approval before the full fabrication run.
All fountain elements are fabricated and dry-assembled in the factory. The complete fountain is checked for fit, level, and plumbing sleeve alignment before disassembly for delivery. Engraved surfaces are inspected against artwork.
Elements are delivered numbered and sequenced for installation. Metamar's team can attend site during installation and commissioning of the water system. Final seal and water test carried out on site.
