Metamar's Objects collection produces natural stone bathtubs at the level of quality that Saudi Arabia's most ambitious residential and hospitality projects demand. From a monolithic oval tub carved in a single sitting from a block of white Afyon marble to a rectangular freestanding bath fabricated in travertine with integrated overflow channels, each piece is engineered and hand-finished to order. No two stone bathtubs are identical — each carries the unique character of the block it came from.
The bathtub is the most visible and most photographed element in a luxury bathroom. For palace master suites, five-star hotel spa facilities, and ultra-luxury residential towers, the specification of a stone bath communicates an unambiguous statement about the quality of the project. Metamar's manufacturing capability — CNC carving, hand-finishing, and a supply chain that runs directly to owned quarries — means we can execute these objects at any scale, from a single bespoke tub to a full hotel floor of matching spa suites.
What We Offer
The ultimate stone bath — carved from a single block with no joints or seams. The exterior can be smooth, carved with relief ornament, or profiled with classical mouldings. The interior is hand-finished to a smooth honed surface. Available in oval, rectangular, and custom plan forms.
Assembled from precision-cut stone panels bonded with structural adhesive and concealed mechanical fixings. Achieves monolithic appearance at larger sizes or in stones where single-block availability is limited. Identical finish quality to the carved approach.
Stone bathtub shells designed for installation into a built surround or platform. The interior bowl and visible exterior panels are stone; the underframe is structural. Allows full integration with a stone bathroom platform and step.
Deep soaking tubs with interior depths of 550–650 mm — the Japanese ofuro form in natural stone. Typically rectangular with a clean honed interior and a single overflow slot. Favoured for hotel spa suites and private hammam spaces.
Freestanding tubs with carved exterior ornament — acanthus leaf borders, geometric bands, arabesque panels, or figurative feet. The exterior is treated as a sculptural object in its own right. Particular resonance for palatial master bathrooms.
Any bathtub configuration that can be drawn can be produced — asymmetric plans, double-ended forms, integrated headrests, sunken platform integration, or specific dimensional requirements driven by a bathroom that has already been designed around the tub.

Material & Thermal Character
Natural stone has exceptional thermal mass — it absorbs heat slowly and releases it slowly, keeping bathwater warm far longer than acrylic or resin alternatives. A thick-walled marble tub pre-warmed with hot water maintains bath temperature for 30–40 minutes longer than an equivalent acrylic shell.
For spa and hammam applications, the thermal properties of stone are not a secondary benefit but the primary functional specification. Metamar advises on wall thickness relative to interior volume to optimise the thermal performance of each tub to your brief.
Scale & Weight
A monolithic stone bathtub is a permanent architectural installation. A standard-size oval marble tub carved from 50 mm wall thickness will weigh 400–600 kg when empty; filled with water and occupied, the total load approaches 900 kg. Structural coordination is required before installation.
Metamar provides full weight schedules and load-distribution drawings for every bathtub at the time of order. For upper-floor installations, we work with your structural engineer to confirm the floor slab is adequate or to specify a spreader system.

How We Work
Client provides bathroom layout drawing. We confirm tub outer and inner dimensions, drain position, and overflow detail. A weight schedule is issued for structural sign-off before production begins.
For monolithic tubs, quarry block selection is critical. The block must be defect-free, consistently coloured, and large enough for the form without structural risk. We select and present the candidate block for client approval.
The exterior form is CNC-carved to within 5 mm of final profile. The interior bowl is routed in successive passes. Hand-carvers and stone polishers complete the final surface quality — interior to honed or polished finish, exterior to specification.
The tub is filled with water for a leak test before leaving the factory. Drain fitting is trial-installed. The piece is sealed, wrapped in protective foam, and crated on a custom timber base. Installation is coordinated with your site programme.
