Metamar's Atelier produces complete stone balustrade systems for interior and exterior applications. From the grand double-return staircase of a palace to the pool terrace of a luxury resort, each system is fabricated to your project drawings with consistent stone selection, matched profiles, and precise fit tolerances. Balusters, handrails, base rails, newel posts, and plinths are all produced as coordinated sets.
Stone balustrades are among the most visible and tactile expressions of quality in a building. Metamar's manufacturing capability — three factories, CNC turning, and hand-finishing — means we can deliver balustrade systems at the scale demanded by Saudi mega-projects, maintaining consistency across hundreds or thousands of individual balusters while meeting the precision that luxury architecture requires.
What We Offer
CNC-turned baluster shafts in the classical vocabulary — urn, vase, dumbbell, and column profiles. Fully customisable silhouette to match your project's design language, produced to exact diameter and height as specified.
Prismatic baluster forms for contemporary and transitional architecture. Smooth faces, chamfered edges, or with applied moulding profiles. Stronger structurally than turned forms for exterior exposed conditions.
Relief-carved baluster panels or individual carved shafts — incorporating geometric lattice, arabesque, or floral motifs. Produced by CNC and hand-carved finish. Ideal for mosque screens, palace interiors, and decorative garden walls.
Stone handrails in standard bull-nose, OG, and moulded profiles, or fully custom sections routed by CNC. Curved handrails for circular and elliptical staircases produced from stone or with steel substrate to client's engineer's specification.
Base and top newel posts to anchor each balustrade run — square or turned, with or without cap and base mouldings. Coordinated in stone and finish with the baluster series for a complete architectural language.
Full balustrade systems designed, engineered, and supplied as a single package: balusters + rails + newels + fixing details + installation sequence drawings. Reduces coordination risk and ensures dimensional compatibility across all elements.

How We Work
We review your balustrade layout drawings in full, confirm baluster spacing, fixing centres, and rail junction details before issuing fabrication confirmation.
For major projects, a single prototype baluster is produced and approved before full production. Ensures profile, finish, and scale are correct before commitment.
Balusters, rails, newels, and plinths are produced together to ensure consistent stone colour and finish. CNC turning is followed by hand-finishing and quality inspection.
Elements are delivered numbered and in installation sequence. Fixing guidance and installation drawings provided. Site visits available for complex staircase installations.
